After passing today it's now nearing completion as a Tesco. Looking at the applications the ATM was refused, plant at rear Approved, External Alterations Approved, Additional parking Refused and Illuminated signage approved.

Further to Quinno's review, Local opposition and a signed petition with over 2000 names. Various applications submitted 12/P/1775/F Installation of an ATM, 12/P/1776/F Installation of plant equipment to rear of property, 12/P/1779/F Demolition of garage and part of existing outbuildings to rear and creation of new car park comprising 8no. parking spaces. and 12/P/1780/ADV Display of 1no. illuminated fascia sign, 1no. illuminated projecting sign and illuminated ATM signage to front elevation. Display of 1no. illuminated fascia sign and 1no. non-illuminated fascia sign to side elevation. Display of 3no. non illuminated post all submitted 08/10/12.

2007
Used to a decent, if unspectacular pub with pleasant side/function room, decorated in that classic late 70's style which was popular with the local Sixth-formers during Britpop. Went right downhill at the turn of the millennium, so much so that my last visit a couple of years back was spent hiding away from some screaming mad woman at the bar throwing glasses around. Oh dear oh dear…
