Despite being in area with a lot of residential development, the New Inn retains something of a village feel albeit very modernised. The inside has been opened out and given a 1990s sort of overhaul with mixed results; not sure about the wall-hung fairy lights. One side is more of a club lounge area with a large room beyond containing pool and darts at one end. Beers from St Austell/Bath were quite drinkable and food sounded good value, although not sampled. Generally a bit too much modernised for my taste but good enough.
