Alan Winfield left this review about The Gallows Inn

The Gallows Inn is at the southern end of Ilkeston and it is next to the Erewash canal.
This pub used to be a Shipstones tied house, once inside the pub has been opened out into one room but it still has a bar feel to one side and a lounge to the other.
This pub had'nt sold any real ale for years but it has recently started having real ales on the bar with London Pride on permanantly and a different guest beers on each week.
The London Pride was a decent drink and the pub was quite busy on my visit.
