E TA left this review about The Nog Inn

Originally The Railway Hotel, this 1860s pub has seen better days. It is very much a community pub despite its proximity to the railway station, Feniton appearing to be very much a dormitory town nowadays especially since the A30 bypasses the village by some distance. There is a scruffy car park at the back occupying all of what was once the garden. Inside there are two bars, one each side of the front door, though only one was in use when we visited. The decor looks like it hasn't been updated since the 1970s, while much of one wall is covered with certificates and photos from charities including the Air Ambulance and Guide Dogs. An array of plaques and thematic pump clips hints at a Navy or RFA connection, but we didn't get around to asking. There is an electric fire in the chimney breast, and this has a small TV crammed above it. A dartboard with its oche fills one corner of the room, and there are various darts trophies in a small cabinet beside it. One ale on cask, Exeter Avocet, which was in good condition, plus there were two dry handpumps. Also on were Thatcher's Gold, Carling and Guinness. The landlord was friendly enough, and there were a couple of elderly locals in. It felt more like a village social club than a pub. Given the restricted opening hours and lack of food I'd say it's not worth breaking a train journey to visit, but if you're in the area I'd stop for a pint as the beer was quite enjoyable.
