Soup Dragon left this review about The Ship

An irregularly shaped cream rendered pub and eatery, with front patio area. Also does live music.

The interior is open plan and in a modern look, with mainly mushroomy/coffee walls and ceiling (ok, i am no colour expert!), with some undressed stone, as well as white, blue, patterned wallpaper, some fakey looking beams and wood floor. There were lots of old photos and landscapes on the walls for interest, but it seemed mainly laid out for food and there is a mix of seating from stools to the dreaded sofas! There were TVs with sport on and mixed music being piped at a decent level. The clientele was mixed, but i felt it was more a dining in the day and a younger person's place on the night - and i don't mean chav by that. The service was fine. I didn't eat so can't comment on that.

Beer; tap stuff, with Ringwood Bitter, Purbeck IPA and Studland Bay Wrecked on handpull - the last two were fine. There was also a good Goddard's selection of bottles.

Not really my kind of interior, but i enjoyed the beer. Kind of place i would pop in for one - well, as i did!
