There is a large patio area outside the front of The Little B, with high tables to the right and standard tables to the left split down the middle by the path to the entrance. At the front of this sprawling pub is a large open plan seating area and the bar runs up the left wall. There is more seating at the rear where there is also a sunken area that houses a pool table and two dartboards. Televisions are located throughout for showing live sports. During my midweek evening visit a Chelsea Champions League match was muted in favour of some background dance music.
The bar supports a standard and premium keg range and I counted four hand pumps. Two were unused which left Thwaites IPA and Gold as the cask ale options. The service was polite, but the size of the pub meant that it felt empty, even with twenty or so people in attendance.

My old local - well at least my nearest!
The 'B' is a large open plan pub with a multiple of uses. During the day, food is very prominent. It attracts a cross section of the public. Families with young children, young and older drinkers are all welcome. The outside terrace is very popular on warm days. Sport fans are also there in numbers. It is the local pub for Sale FC rugby club (ex home of Sale Sharks before they moved to a bigger ground). Several large screens often have football on at one part of the pub and rugby at a different part.
In the evening, the lights are dimmed and the pub is usually very full with a younger crowd, especially when there is live music on. Two or three Real Ales are served, usually from larger breweries, but it is probably a minority drink for the younger evening crowd!
