Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Barton Arms
Too dark to see much of the 'Lancashire Magpie' exterior (except to note that the black parts seem to have been re-painted in light gastro-pub green) but the inside of this Ember Inns pub / restaurant close by the Bridgwater Canal has the usual mix of semi-modern and semi-traditional elements. Thoroughly food-led, of course, but had a pretty good selection of real ales from a total of nine handpumps: the regular Black Sheep, Brakspear and Wainwright supplemented by Landlord, Pure UBU, Bitter & Twisted, Rev James Gold, Everard's Tiger and Haresfoot Wild Boy (£3.30, less 20p discount for Camra members).
