An old (and expensive) thatched Fuller's pub with the expected range of their beers, another pub that leans quite strongly to the food side of things, certainly on a Sunday. It was very busy but not a place I would want to linger too long.

An old place with partially thatched roof incongruously opposite some 1970’s flats. Appears to be two buildings knocked together with a fair-sized rear garden. The L-shaped interior was almost exclusively given over to dining on our Sunday afternoon visit with every single table seemingly reserved so we had to squash in at the bar with a small group of other drinking-only locals. A Fullers house, with five on - Pride, HSB, Lancer (fair), Seafarers and a guest, Liberation ale from the Channel Islands. As expected, it’s an expensive pub. Gratis crisps and cheese in bowls at the bar lightened my mood a little but it’s too upmarket for its own good, really.

Having read Mr. Boots review below describing slightly elderly patrons I thought that I might fit in here. I'm glad that I popped in as it made me feel more youthful than I am.
The pub has been well described below and I'd reiterate that the focus is on food.
On my Saturday lunchtime visit there was only one large round table in front of the bar which was available for drinking with all the other tables being occupied by diners or reserved for them. As has been mentioned, the menu isn't cheap but nonetheless it is very popular and was so busy that I headed outside to the pleasant courtyard area at the back. Worth noting as it's a pleasant place for a beer on a sunny day.
Staff were clearly busy but it wasn't making them happy and none of them managed to progress beyond an unfriendly scowl.
As you'd expect from a Fullers house, most of the beers were from their stable: London Pride, Red Fox, Gales Seafarers and HSB with Marstons Hobgoblin appearing as a guest. The Red Fox and HSB were very good although £3.80 for the 4.3% Red Fox is strong if not unexpected.
I liked this pub and would happily pop back for a well kept Fullers beer as long as I could find somewhere to sit and drink it.
