An old traditional two bar pub,with an extra dining room offset from the lounge bar, two sets of three hand pumps, one in each bar with the beers duplicated,these were Doom Bar, Tribute and the locally brewed Sherfield Village TBA. I chose the local brew and although not the style of my choice it was in good shape and at a perfect temperature,something I don't normally equate with a Casque Mark pub, It was anyhow an enjoyable pint served in a not often enough seen lined glass, so I got my full £3.80s worth.
It's a nice enough spot to stop off for a pint.

Nice small pub with a Skittle Alley. Food choice looked great but we did not try, bitter selection a little sparse, only choice of 3 .. but all nice.
White Hart nearby has a larger marketing budget, but if you prefer traditional look for this one out of the two.

Fairly average pub - there were a couple ales on the go (Pride and GK IPA, the IPA was good enough). Decent enough inside, could be homely with a couple of mates in on the beer with you. The menu looked pretty expensive to my eyes - I hope the chef is good, he'll need to be for me to pay that much outside a restaurant!
Could take it or leave it, really. There's a lot worse out there.
