Bucking Fastard left this review about Worpell

From the outside,an attractive looking community local with a single L shaped room ,partially raised to one side. The interior has been titified with a carpet throughout and a lot of pine furniture , wood wall cladding and a faux Victorian fireplace near the small bar.Two flat screen dominate proceedings and there is much football banter among the regulars with the long standing guv'nor. At least the coverage was mute ,although there was also background muzak. The slatted blinds on the window were another sign of an uninspired makeover.
A GK house serving Abbott and IPA with a sole guest in the shape of TT Landlord ,£3.60 and not in great condition. At least the welcome was friendly.
A long standing GBG entry,I suspect more to do with an acknowledgement by the local CAMRA of the long service given by the tenants rather than anything to do with great ale quality.
I am sure the local community feel comfortable in here,a baby was sleeping peacefully in a buggy on my trip. Not one that I will be rushing back to.

Alan Winfield left this review about Worpell

The Worppell is on the west side of town and is close to the Rose and Crown.
This was quite a nice pub inside with a couple of different rooms, this pub is a Greene King tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Greene King IPA and this was ok the other beer was Abbot.
I thought this was quite a nice pub.
