A small country inn with an admirable focus on real ale.Once through the front door ,the bar is immediately ahead with three handpumps dispensing well kept Maldon Gold,Cottage Brewing Boadguage and London Pride. To the left of the bar is a carpeted lounge with a few circular tables,it wouldnt take many punters to pop in for the pub to seem busy. There is a large garden with a marquee where regular mini beer festivals are held.Bar snacks are available at weekends but being a small family run establishment the concept of fast service is non existent, you will have a fair wait for food even if the pub is quiet.I would return for a beer or two.

every 3rd Saturday there's a mini beer festival...you pay for your pint and then fill the glass yourself from a selection of around 8 real ales on offer from the al fresco bar just outside from the main bar area
