A substantial brick built 30's road house ,which has been substantially refurbed inside with a leaning towards family dining. The main room off the entrance has a long bar opposite ,with a bookcase to the right infront of which occasional live music can be performed.Flatscreens were off during my visit but the pub will attract sports fans as well as diners .The interior then changes into a series of interconnected areas seperated by former doorways. Most of the tables here would double up for dining ,but you can just sit anywhere to drink. There is a library affect with many books on display in the main bar area, while there is a substantial beer garden at the rear. The front car park is small but informal parking in the shops and houses service roads keeps parked cars away from the busy main road.
There are 4 handpumps, offering 2 regulars from New River Brewery meaning Riverbed Red and Twin Spring (poor condition) on my trip alongside TT Landlord and St Austell Tribute. The food is pub grub style ,but overall it's a bit formulaic and not the most attractive place to sup ale,so not on the list for a revisit unless I was looking for a meal.

This is a large pub with a good sized concreted area out the back with a smoking shelter and brick barbeque. There are some steps from this area that lead down to a huge tree lined beer garden with plenty of well spaced out picnic tables and there are even some children's toys at the far end.

In the pub there was a football match on Sky Sports which was being shown on the TVs and the projector screen. The pub wasn't that busy, but everyone in seemed to be a local and I'd imagine that there is an estate nearby. I found the barmaid to be friendly enough and there is a pool table ready for use.

There are five unused hand pumps, but Greene King IPA is available alongside a standard draught selection.

I wouldn't go out of my way to drink here again, but if I lived locally I would use this pub for watching sports and maybe I would utilise the garden on a nice summer's day.
