The best of three terraced bar/restaurants overlooking the beach, this one has a slightly more-pubby interior with some dark wood and, most importantly, a set of handpumps offering Brakspear's Bitter, Hobgoblin and a house beer from Marston's. A conservatory and decked area lead down to the esplanade.

Sea front detached pub, with three parts; a bar, conservatory and patio area.
The interior is all food based really. The bar is open with wood floor and a cavery counter in the corner with the main bar facing you as you go in - it is covered in beer mats. The rest of the decor consists of nautical pictures and ephemera; from a compass to a boat propeller - it is a fun kind of place really. The service was fine and the clientele all holiday makers really.
Beer; tap stuff, with an ok Banks's MILD - though they do call it Original down here! Ringwood Old Thumper was also available on handpull and it was very good.
Considering the general poor state of the Sandown pubs, this place maybe foody, but does do real ale and on a nice day (which it was) it is nice to sit out in the sun.

Situated on the esplanade and overlooking the beach and sea, the Ocean Deck is nautically themed - Service is quick and ales and lagers well kept.
Wide range of pub food especially fish and Italian.
