A detached multi-building pub in white render and with a beer patio. Winner of the Island's Dining Pub of the Year 2010. Also does accommodation.

The pub is set out for food, and i cant really say about the quality of the food, as i didnt eat, but the portions looked good! The interior is open plan and in red and wood panel, with some stone and brick fireplace. There was a lot of plates and brass ephemera, as well as photos and prints of old paintings regarding naval matter and the sea. The service was ok and the place packed to the rafters with a good mix, from families up - i assume, holiday makers.

Beer; tap stuff, with GK IPA, Doombar and a good Goddard's Fuggle-dee-dum on handpull.

Being miserable, i think the fact that it was so busy would put me off! i would however really want to eat here and the beer was fine - look out for a misery in November!
