Real Ale Ray left this review about The Royal Oak Hotel
A traditional style pub with a central bar area serving a horse shoe shaped lounge. The left hand side of the bar area was slightly larger and housed a pool table. The interior was wallpapered with a cream patterned paper throughout above the dado rail, with coffee coloured walls below. The bar was finished in oak and had timber balustrades along the counter supporting a pot shelf. The pub was carpeted throughout in a tradition patterned carpet. Four handpumps in use on our visit serving Bombardier, Theakston's Black Bull, GK IPA and Marston's 61 Deep. We went for the Theakston's before heading back to the nearby Train Station.
