We called in after a hard day in Preston, a Sunday in June 2014 and caught it in the dead time between the lunch crowd and the evening eaters. Part of the Marston's chain and so its a grab a table and order at the bar. We went for a couple of lite bites and they were very well presented, well cooked and very tasty. The Sunday menu differs from the rest of the week although a lot of the stuff is the same the Sunday crowd do not get the options of the specials. My daughter had the Lasagne and that was also tasty and well portioned. Sunday deserts were slightly disappointing choice wise but maybe that's because i was looking forward to crumble and custard but I hate Rhubarb!! This is the third time I have eaten at the pub but i would prefer the Saturday menu to the Sunday one.
Still atmosphere is good and staff are helpful and pleasant so will probably call in again if in the area.
