Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Churchill Tavern
Although perhaps not quite the 'country pub in town' that the external signage proclaims, this alehouse-style establishment still has some merits. These include ornate Italianate features on the façade and the rustic, partly split-level 'L'-shaped interior (especially the compact bow-window areas offering the best views of the harbour). Pool table and live music advertised. Three of four handpumps in operation, offering Adnams Ghost Ship, Old Dairy Gold Top and the dubiously-named Knob Jockey house beer. Two boxed Lilley's ciders also available.

Originally The Paragon Hotel built in 1806, this impressive Georgian building has a rambling interior with wooden floors, wooden beams and decorative brickwork on display and a number of rooms and alcoves which I didn't bother to count. It's full of character. There is a restaurant area with good views of the sea front, a "creche" area with pool table and gaming machines, several open fires and a stage area where live acts perform most weekends. The food is good and reasonably priced and the bar staff are charming. Newspapers were available. A GBG regular, there are 6 ales on: I had Canterbury Haka and Gadds's Dark Conspiracy, both brilliantly kept, in perfect condition and most enjoyable despite their very different characters. Definitely a pub worth spending time in under almost any circumstances.

The Churchill Tavern really is the Country Pub in Town.
The Tavern has a relaxing and timeless feel surrounding it, it is a civilised and friendly place for all the family to enjoy.
Churchill Tavern is the perfect place to feel at ease, smartly presented, newly re-furbished and overlooking Ramsgate's gorgeous Harbour.
Clean, fresh, friendly, local pub, which serves great home made food, Real Ales and comes with a Sea View, what more could you possibly ask for?
