A definite improvement from my previous visit 12 years ago. It's certainly more like a pub than it was, even though ceiling tiles, wallpaper and even the bare bricks on the walls not papered are fake. Four hand pumps, with three beers from Tirril plus Hawkshead Bitter, which was very good (NBSS 3.5). The background music was better than tolerable and only a little too loud.

Fairly sure this is also known as the Inn in Grasmere for the reason it had this date on the sign and I have exhausted other possibilities.

Great decor and patio area. First ever Tirrils Grasmere Gold sounded just the ticket. And it was.

Will Larter left this review about The Lamb Inn

Part of the Red Lion Hotel in the centre of the village, the Lamb has the feel of an afterthought about it. The strangely upholstered bench seats are arranged more like a burger bar than a pub, though some Lake District prints and photos are more like what you'd expect of a pub in these parts.

The small bar has three hand pumps, with Hawkshead Red, Jennings Cumberland Ale and Marstons EPA on when I was here. The beer was fine, but this is not one I'd go out of my way to visit again.
