Strongers . left this review about The Tap & Clapper
The Tap & Clapper is a long and thin sports orientated pub with banquettes under the windows to the left of the entrance and a serving counter up the left-hand wall that faces a large high table with stools. Banquette seating is found at the end of the counter in the left rear corner and up the right-hand wall between seating in the front window and a couple of alcoves that each house a dartboard towards the rear. During a recent Monday evening visit the televisions throughout were airing muted Sky Sports News while some background music played. Standard and premium keg options were available and I didn’t note the presence of any hand pumps, but this visit was late in the crawl so I wouldn’t take the absence of cask as read. This is somewhere to watch the match and/or play darts, but little more.

A sub-spoons type modern pub on a corner location in the throbbing centre of Loughborough. Basically it's one long thin room with a couple of alcoves and an outside smoking patio. Uninspiring choice of beers on the three pulls, Bombardier or Tetley's Gold, I had the Gold but thankfully only a half as it was much as expected.

Despite the name, this was just the same as the Bell House and also full of noisy Poles. Not my sort of venue.
