The Belgian Monk has an excellent and extensive range of Belgian beers, on draught and in bottle, many of which aren't so common in the average pub. Be warned though, it is not cheap! I did ask, so was forewarned that for my £4.70, I was getting a half of Petrus Blond (6.6%).
If you're going to do a Belgian bar, it's better to do it properly, rather than muck about with a couple of Leffe and a Delirium Tremens. These guys have got it spot on; there's a definite authentic feel.
Worth a visit if you've had all the cask ale you can handle on a trip to Norwich and fancy something a bit different.

A couple of halves of Jer Dolen Blonde at 6.1% meant that this was the last pub of my recent Thursday crawl of Norwich. To the left of the entrance is the Biblotheek seating area and straight ahead is a door to the courtyard. The bar area is found to the right of the entrance where an L-shaped bar counter on the rear wall faces some tables along the front wall. As to be expected, only strong keg is available in here, one of which rocks in at 10% This place is worth a look, but now that I’ve been I think I’ll stick to the many cask ale pubs in the city.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Belgian Monk
Despite describing itself as a 'beer restaurant', it also has a busy continental-style bar area full of fitting breweriana. Although eleven draught beers are shown on a board (with others listing some rare bottled offerings), I only spotted eight taps, but thankfully these included one of my all-time favourites: Poperings Hommel Bier (£3.60, half, for a 7.5% beer) served like the others in the correct glass.
