A multi room dales pub with stone flags and open fires but little else of character in most rooms. The floor levels vary a lot here not always for an obvious reason. The counter in the right hand room is on two levels and has six pulls on the higher part and two more and a trio of T-Bars on the lower. Beers were from mainly Saltaire and Kirkstall with the outstanding Craven VIP as well. Beer quality was good, just a touch cold. Old Peculiar from the wood was advertised but not on. Furniture is older kitchen and church cast offs in the main. Slightly gloomy decor of brown tongue and groove with red walls above displaying the odd old photo. I visited partly due to hearing about an eccentric landlord, possibly the Mark Collins self promoting the pub in the 2010 review, but it appears to be under recent new management.

This is the kind of pub you always hope to find within walking range when camping. One of the best.

The new inn at appletreewick is a fantastic old english public house in the middle of the beautiful yorkshire dales. It boasts so many different continental beers you will lose count at 50-60 i think plus its food menu is fantastic and the views from the pub itself are breathtaking. It is also a b&b and everyone is welcome i.e-dogs-walkers-mountain bikers everyone from all walks of life are welcome at this quaint old english pub.It is well worth the trip out to bask with a fantastic ale and enjoy the company any the views around.
