What looks like a French peniche has been converted to a quirky drinking venue opposite the Millbank Centre on the Albert Embankment. There is a large outside area on the upper foredeck, while the aft upper deck also has outside seating but is much smaller. You enter the bar via a side door into an internal saloon, while the hold can be reached by another set of stairs and has sofas,a hanging globe chair for the adventurous ,a BBC NEWS flatscreen and the loos. The main saloon has wooden dining style tables and the decorations are interesting creating a lot of atmosphere.
As you might expect no real ale but two Adnams kegged beers of which my Mosaic Pale was decent and £2.60 the half. The other taps were offering the usual Eurofizz, plus Guiness.
Food is generally available and is cafe style. It's quite a modest sized craft and does pitch when clippers rush past and it's a cool place to hang out.One of the better floating bars on the tidal Thames.

This is a Dutch barge moored on the Albert Embankment.Upstairs there is a small bar with a seating area and downstairs there is a larger seating area.Outside on the deck there is seating with a good view of the river and the Houses of Parliament and I would imagine it would be very pleasant on a summer's evening. There is no real ale but this is made up by the very pleasant bar staff. This place is very different than your usual pub and is well worth a visit.

This is a boat on the Thames, what a surprise!, opposite the Tate Britain. Doesn't look much from the outside, but comfortable seating inside, on two decks. Also has two upper outside decks, ideal on a summer evening for views down the river. Maybe a bit pricey, Half pint of Guinness £2.00. Sells food all day. Has changed its name to Thames is Dock, no idea what that means. Still popular when the sun is out.
