Very busy on our Tuesday eve visit and we were lucky to get a table for dining. The food was reasonably priced and portions were also good too. The standard of our food was also top class, so obviously their chef and standards has altered from the review below. We sat in the lounge, which had large windows, which gave a spectacular view of the Simonside Hills. The pub is split into two main areas, the main dining area with a small bar and a lounge bar side with an inglenook fireplace. We went for an excellent pint of Allendale Golden Plover. This is a good pub with excellent service.
