Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Gun

Old-fashioned roadside inn located in a remote hamlet on the A68. Inside, you find a small 'L'-shaped bar with plain wooden furniture and basic decor. Good-natured banter between the locals, and the pool table seemed to be a key attraction. Dining room beyond, with great views over Redesdale. B&B accommodation. Beer-wise, there was just Black Sheep (£2.80) from one of two handpumps, but it tasted great after a long cross-country walk. Overall, I was very glad that it was there (and open!). (NB - Review dates from August 2012.)
