The impressive façade of this art deco cinema caught my eye as I walked towards the stadium for Hull FC v Leeds Rhinos. Did I have time for a swift beer? Yes I did. The island bar was obviously devoid of real ale, so I had a half of very cold Tetleys Smooth, which I drank while watching a game of pool. It was like a race - who would finish first? The pool was over first, but only because I had to go for a toilet break. My beer was £1.40 and worth every penny.

A very large pub with an island bar in the middle. Two pool tables to the rear and loads of TVs around the pub. It's populated by the low flyers of Hull. There's no real ale of course and a half of Carling was just £1.05. That probably explains the clientele. It's awful.

Horners is a large pub opposite the side entrance to Hull Paragon interchange.
Once inside this pub has got one large room that is carpeted throughout and it has lots of tables and chairs, the pub was very busy on my visit with mainly older drinkers of the type you get in a Spoons.
There were no real ales on here with the only bitters being Tetley smooth rubbish or even worse John Smiths smooth crap so i had a Guinness.
This pub seems to keep similar hours to the Wetherspoons round the corner and i think it is only worth going in if you want the toilet or are desperate for a quick drink before catching a train.
