Real Ale Ray left this review about The Royal Oak

A decent sized pub with the main bar and lounge area to the right of entrance, with a dining room and open plan kitchen area on the left. The pub interior looked to have had a recent makeover, as it looked very smart and well kept. The bar side had a good sized curved oak bar area along the rear wall. Features in this area included a small section of buttoned red leather banquette seating situated over at the far end of the bar, feature wallpapered areas and carpeted throughout. The dining room was very smart looking with panelled walls, finished in a heritage blue/green colour with exposed black ceiling beams. Five handpumps, with four in use on our visit, TT Landlord, Harvest Pale, Theakston and Black Sheep Holy Grail. The Holy Grail was a decent enough Golden Ale.

Went mid-week. Other than being a bit empty we were very happy with the quality of service and food. It was really a fine dining experience at pub prices. Excellent.

This pub is in the middle of Radcliffe and near all the shops,it looks quite nice from the outside with bay windows that are leaded.
The Royal Oak used to be a Whitbread tied house it still sells real ale and usually stocks one local beer like Nottingham Rock bitter.
