Alan Winfield left this review about The Durham Ox
The Durham Ox used to be an Ansells house in the early 80s.
When i went in the pub looked ok from the outside and there were four flags on poles at the front of the pub but none of these were the English St Georges Cross and one flag looked a bit like the Swiss flag, once inside the pub seemed a bit run down and there was no real ale on the bar it was a choice between John Smiths smooth crap or a Guinness as usuall i went for the Guinness,i would'nt recomend going out of your way to this pub.
