Alan Winfield left this review about The Stick and Pitcher
The Stick and Pitcher opened around 8 years ago,the pub is quite difficult to find as it is situated off the main road and lacks proper signage.
You have to go up some steps to get into this pub, once inside the bar is to the left and the room is oblong shaped except for a small area which is for the pool table, the room is carpeted throughout and had small tables and chairs.
This pub is a Castle Rock house and there were five pumps on the bar but three were unclipped,i had a drink of Harvest Pale and this was a decent drink the other beer was Preservation.
There is an outside terrace which overlooks the hockey pitches.
Note: This pub has erratic opening times, but it is usually open when sports are being played.
