Well organised tourist pub, that gets busy when the sun is out. Bang on the Thames Path and a lovely beer suntrap beer garden.

They keep on top of things through an external bar, with JDW-esque airport queue to order food and drink. When ordering food, you are provided with a little buzzer and then can collect your order from the kitchen on the opposite side, which has a hatch.

I didn't venture inside. The external bar indicated the only handpull was Tribute. I this occasion, it was a lemonade that was purchased.

Friendly staff that cope with crowds.

The other side of the bridge and river from The Rose Revived, this low, one-storeyed building has had an internal makeover and is now decked out in contemporary fashion: a bar area is light, bright and airy (and an extension from the original building) with white-painted walls, pine panelling, corrugated iron-effect bar front and pine-topped tables, along with central fireplae feature including Cotswold stone inserts. A dining area is located via an anteroom into the 'old' building giving the whole inside a semi-lightning bolt shape. There's also decking outside the bar area overlooking the river, which is probably an enviable spot on a nice day. A good shout on the ale front with two locAles, both from Loose Cannon - Abingdon Bridge and a new one to me, called 42 Pounder, which was good and £1.95 for a half. Also, several keg offerings from Cotswold, which kept it local. Contemporary R&B muzak seemed unnecessary, and if you could switch the beer selection between here and The Rose Revived, the latter would be the destination venue every time.
