A Georgian town hotel in the high street area. There is limited parking and a small garden outside. There is a dining room which feels dated with its vinyl chairs and pine panelling, while the main bar is much more in keeping and traditional, with a mix of leather sofas and tables for communal drinkers. Food is freshly cooked and looks like reasonable value. The staff were a bit stand-offish, and it didn't feel like a local which welcomed passing trade. Ales on were Otter, Doombar and Dray's Gold. The beers were in good condition, but slightly over-chilled. Fine for a swift one if passing.

Follow up review just over a year later, hasn't changed much still a popular village hotel and bar. Tonights beers were Otter 3.6%, Doom Bar and Flowers IPA as a guest. Other guests tend to come from Yeovil and Cottage. Had an excellent meal in here a couple of months ago so can recommend the food too. As my local I'm happy with it.

Busy village centre hotel with welcoming bar popular with visitors and locals. Three beers, Otter Ale, Sharps Doom and Yeovil Ale's Star Gazer, the last of which my running club helped drain. Food looks good, but have not yet sampled. Beware closing hours as previously mentioned.
