Vintage Inn next to the impressive Wolseley Bridge over the River Trent. Various small dining spaces around the central bar seating area, all refurbished with the expected mix of traditional and modern elements. Also has a patio beer garden at the back. Just Doom Bar (£3.85) and Pedigree being served from a bank of five handpumps.

Soup Dragon left this review about The Wolseley Arms

A large detached Vintage Inn pub/restaurant with beer garden and a bit of individuality, in a creamish coloured render (i think!)

The interior is similar to other Vintage Inns, in that it is open plan with lots of nooks and crannies and of course, laid out more for the foor side. The decor is the differing colour plain walls; clayish colour, grey, white/cream, with wood panel and exposed brick. There are the usual eclectic seating and photographs and prints on the walls, but at least Vintage Inns do try to give some feel to the building. There is a fakey fireplace in the more bar kind of area, with a bit of chopped wood! the service was fine and the clientele mixed though leaning to the mature side.

Beer; tap stuff, with Staropromen lager and Bass, Banks's Bitter and a decent enough Purity Ubu on handpull

As BF says below - a foody place, with decent enough beer - not a place you would go for a session, but a meal out with the family i am sure it would be fine - that is what they are aiming at

Bucking Fastard left this review about The Wolseley Arms

Clean looking Vintage Inn with their standard menu,so most punters are here for the food. However you can drink in the area close to the bar and the staff are friendly.Very well kept TT Landlord ,which was a pleasant surprise but probably not the sort of establishment for a really heavy session.
