The only Alcester entry in the 2018 Good Beer Guide.... not going to argue, my TT Landlord was in perfect condition.
Small front bar and very busy on a Friday night. Space can be found down a nicely decorated corridor.
Worth seeking out.

We arrived just on opening at 12, along with a few like minded customers and in no time the pub was almost full, not bad for a Wednesday. Once at the bar, we had a choice of four ales on handpump. We went for the Stratford Upon Avon Stratford Gold and a Vale Brewery Pale Ale, both were in tip top condition. We had been told previously the food served here was excellent, so we decided to have lunch. Our lunch was good and the portions here were large and prices average. To me this is more of a gastro pub, as all the customers on this visit had called in for food.
The barman had an annoying habit of throwing empty bottles into the bottle bin behind the bar and with the front room being so small, it was loud. Maybe we should have eaten in the quieter lounge behind. Not really a drinkers destination this one.

The Turks Head is painted in the modern grey colour,so i was'nt that hopefull of going in a decent pub,but once inside it was better than i thought it would be.
We had a drink in a smartish room that was bare boarded and had a beamed ceiling, the bar was to the left, the seating normal tables and chairs, there was a seperate room to the rear right.
There were three real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Wye Valley Hereford Pale Ale which went down very well, the other beers were Pedigree and Otter Bitter.
The pub was very busy with a good mixed bunch in.
I quite liked this pub.
