Basic sports bar with only 2 ales served, including the ubiquitous Doom Bar.

A small white rendered terraced pub, with side entrance and a rear patio area.

The interior has an L-shaped open plan room, curving around the wood panelled serving bar. The decor is red and cream, with some wood panel, a white ceiling and mainly wood floor. At one end of the room there is a dart board, at the other a red tiled fireplace, above which there is the largest of three or four TV's which show the footy and Sky Sports News. The service is fine and the clientele seemingly locals and it is friendly enough. There was no music on any of my visits - the footy is on! Indeed, even the pictures on the walls are all of footy teams

Beer; tap stuff, which has Braind Dark Smooth and on handpull, Enville Ale, Salopian Hop Twister and Holden's Golden Glow, all are well kept.

A real good real ale pub that was in the GBG 2011 and i can't see a reason why it shouldn't - very much worth a visit

There was a brief interlude when this pub was known as the Railmaker.
