Although as noted below this was a Post Office building I thought it looked much more like an old bank, both inside and out.
It's a high ceilinged open plan L shaped room with some very ornate lighting making it one of the grander looking Spoons.
There are just six hand pumps which had Abbot, Doom Bore, Hobgoblin, Celt Bleddyn, Skye Gold and Kelburn Cart Noir. I went for the Celt Bleddyn and immediately regretted it as it was complete rubbish compared to the old Celt Experience brew despite being in good condition.
Ignoring the Celt beer this seemed to be a better than average Spoons and is GBG listed in a town that What Pub describes as a beer desert. I can't find any reason to doubt that.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The James Watt (JD Wetherspoon)

An impressive building formerly housing what must once have been a very grand post office, well converted into a large 'spoons with a variety of seating areas in an overall 'L' shape. Light and airy, with high ceilings and good lighting. Just six real ales on handpump, with a few interesting beers - e.g. the eponymous James Watt from Strathaven (£2.10) - in addition to the usual suspects.

This Wetherspoons pub is the only place in town that I dared enter.
It's an old Post Office with 18 feet high ceilings, a huge well furnished dining area, and a nice garden at the rear. Four Real Ales on, all in very good nick, and a fabulous price. I recommend it to you.
