Decent spoons in the middle of town. Not the biggest choice of ales with Titanic porter, Abbot reserve and Grafton Caramel Stout alongside the usual trio. I went for the Grafton and it was in good shape. My only real gripe is that it needs a bit of TLC such as doors which don't lock in the toilets and broken toilet seats. Simple enough things to fix.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Linford Arms (JD Wetherspoon)
Traditional-looking pub, and although not used as such until recently it is undoubtedly a genuinely old building. It has been partly opened-out and given the 'spoons treatment, but still has some residual interest within. There are also small patio areas to the front and side. Modest selection of real ales from nine of ten handpumps, but the local Backyard Blonde was nice enough.

Although this is a shop conversion it's a much older and less dull building than the usual terraced shop. The building had various uses before becoming a shop.
It's not a huge space but has two storeys with the upstairs area providing extra seating. The downstairs level has a low ceiling with some old beams visible and is divided into different areas.
The bar has two sets of five hand pumps with the two GK beers doubled up, Doom Bore and five festival ales. I went for the Otter Fusion (£2.35) which was in good nick and I had as part of the Steak Club mixed grill. The four steaks for this are better described as morsels, especially the lamb but minus the price of the beer it costed just £5.40. I thought this was a decent Spoons, better than many.
