Aqualung . left this review about St Georges Hall (JD Wetherspoon)

According to the JDW web site this building was originally a cinema. It certainly doesn't resemble one inside consisting of a long split level room with the bar on the rear left up some steps. There is a patio on the right. The fixtures and fittings are typical and on an early Saturday afternoon the bar area was quiet as all the locals had congregated on the lower level at the front.
The bar has twelve hand pumps which had two available soon, the JDW Trio Of Doom, a cider, Brains Phonics & Magnum PA, Gloucester Cascade, Moles Golden Hills, Prescott Chequered Flag and Otter Spring Otter. I went for the Gloucester beer (£2.19) which was first class.
I thought this was a decent Spoons.

St Georges Hall is a Wetherspoons that is situated in the heart of Redfields shopping area.
I was well pleased to get in here after a decent walk from Temple Meads station.
Once inside there is an oblong shaped room which runs to the rear, there are normal tables and chairs to the front, the bar is up steps and on the left side, there are tall tables and chairs opposite the bar and more normal tables and chairs to the rear.
I had a drink of Bowman Quiver, which went down very well, the other real ales noted were King Goblin,Milestone Aegir, plus Spoons regulars like Doom Bar.
I thought this was a decent enough Wetherspoons and nice too see one in one of Bristol's more run down areas.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about St Georges Hall (JD Wetherspoon)

Run-of-the-mill 'spoons, with a split-level interior containing few distinguishing features. On the plus side, there was a pretty decent selection from the 12 handpumps, including a range of seasonals such as Brain's I Sea Santa (£2.30).
