The Soloman Cutler is a Lloyds No.1 with a serving counter up the left-hand wall that supports five hand pumps that were drawing the usual Spoons three plus Pheasantry’s Dragonfly and Indian Brewery’s Indian Summer, the latter being a very nice pint. This counter faces a row of high tables and then in the right side of the pub is raised seating at the front and open plan seating behind up to the large rear windows that look down onto the street below. There’s another bar upstairs, but this was closed during a quiet Monday evening visit. The service was polite, but this isn’t somewhere I’ll be rushing back to.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Soloman Cutler (Lloyds No. 1)
Large, modern Lloyds No 1 bar with a square-ish layout including a raised seating area along the front windows. Smaller bar upstairs, and a few patio tables outside under a covered terrace. Definitely not a regular 'spoons on a Friday evening, with a DJ and booming music on this revisit (but quieter in the smaller upstairs bar). Just one bank of five handpumps, offering Exmoor Gold (£2.59) and Hobgoblin Gold in addition to the usual trio of Ruddles, Doom Bar and Abbot.

Former Lloyds Bar. Spacious spoons in identikit style to many other modern city centre ones.
Exmoor Gold at £2.57 was the highlight.
