Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Three Hulats (JD Wetherspoon)

Fine old stone building with a single-storey side extension behind a patio terrace. No real character left inside, unfortunately, so it's standard 'spoons stuff throughout the various seating / dining areas. Good selection from a total of 11 handpumps, with Leeds Gold (£1.99), Roosters YPA, Ossett Excelsior, Wychwood Dirty Tackle, Banks & Taylor SOS, Daleside Monkey Wrench and Thistly Cross cider in addition to the usual suspects.

I've never heard of a Hulat so this place immediately became the Three Harlots as far as I was concerned. Apparently it was once a pub called the Mexborough Arms which explains why it's not a large Spoons and retains something of a pub character. Maybe they should have kept the old name. It's a single angular room with a corner bar at the rear. It was quiet on my Thursday afternoon visit. I noticed the Curry Club was set at the rock bottom price of £5.85.
The bar has a bank of six hand pumps and a bank of four plus a single one which had a pointless doubling up of Doom Bore. The rest had two Available Soon, GK IPA & Abbot, Caledonian Thunder Trail, Osset Yorkshire Blonde, Leeds Midnight Bell & Chapel Allerton and Daleside Monkey Wrench. I went for the Midnight Bell (£2.50) which was in good nick.
I have to say I prefer this one to any of their City Centre outlets but rated other ones in the County above this one.

The Three Hulats is a Wetherspoons pub.
This was the first pub i saw while on a bus heading out of Leeds on what was an unplanned crawl and using an old Leeds real ale guide.
Once inside this is quite a nice Wetherspoons and also fairly small unless i missed some areas of it,the room is L shaped with the bar facing,it is carpeted and has tall tables and chairs to the front and normal tables and chairs to the rear left, there is what looks like a separate room to the front left which has more normal tables and chairs.
There was a decent choice of guest beers on the bar,i had a drink of Oakham JHB which went down very well, the other beers noted were Leeds Chapel Allerton Bitter,Thornebridge Jaipur and Hobgoblin, there were also the usual Spoons regulars like Doom Bar,GK Abbot and GK IPA.
A very pleasant Wetherspoons and a good starting point for my crawl.
