Although there are three hand pumps, one with a Tetleys Cask clip on it, when I asked for cask the lass started pouring Tetleys Smooth. I quickly stopped her - no, the cask. Oh, that's just for show, she said. I told her I wouldn't use the smooth for washing my bike, and we left it at that. No real ale. Pity, seemed like a nice drinkers pub.

Small pub and the second one down from Widnes station. Friendly little local with friendly staff. Beer garden to the rear. Had one real ale on which was Tetley's Cask but never mind.
