Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Newton Grange

Busy Marston's pub in a suburb of Durham City that is popular with families.

On our Saturday afternoon visit, very few people were eating. Although, staff were cooking pizzas for somebody. Many were in to watch the FA Cup Final. So, we were lucky to grab one of the last tables. There is a very small children's play area inside.

Beers were Bombardier, Hobgoblin Gold, Wainwright & Pedigree.

Serves a purpose. But not really my kind of pub.

james buckle left this review about The Newton Grange Hotel

The Newton Grange serves the cheapest micro waved food possible, which is often inedible. They do this two for one menu but the food it so basic and lacks any flavour, it is not value for money. You might as well go to your local budget supermarket and buy their cheapest range and you will have a better meal

They even serve processed mashed potato instead of fresh, which just shows how talented their chefs are.

Avoid - go to the Church Mouse or Red Lion in Plawsworth for a much nicer meal and a better atmosphere
