A cracker of a place, everything felt ‘just so’ despite being rammed. Two small rooms knocked-together via an arch if I recall correctly. A variety of ales on, I opted for a Titanic Plum Porter and was rewarded with an excellent pint (NBSS 4). GBG’23 listed and rightly so. Would have stayed longer if we hadn't more pubs to tick off.

Excellent little pub with a choice of 10 ales on. I was in the mood for something dark so I went for Purity Saddle Black which was in good shape. Well worth the short stroll from the main road.

I went down the hill from the Rascal to find this 2019 Good Beer Guide entry and was not disappointed. With a choice of 10 I selected Three Brothers Au and was tempted to have Stourton APA brewed by Enville, both good. Friendly staff made this aa good pub to have as your local.
