an above average JDW's, almost traditional by their standards. and they were flogging Greene King IPA at £1 a pint.

Although this was an original pub the building was built as a large private house. On my visit there was a lot of banging from building work that seemed to involve the upstairs area. Downstairs it consists of a wide room with a central bar and a large eating area over to the left. Like most seaside JDWs in this part of the world much of the food and especially the clubs are more expensive than average.
The bar has ten hand pumps which had the IPA version of the JDW Trio Of Doom, Tintagel Merlin's Madness and Keltek Lance all doubled up. I went for the Keltek Lance (£2.29) which was in excellent nick.
Despite the fact that all beers were doubled up meant a fairly limited choice I quite liked this one.

Lovely Wetherspoon bar for it's setting with tiered gardens from the front round to the back, some tables and seats on grass and some under cover. We enjoyed Bays Gold and Cornish Crown Red IPA served by friendly staff. Everything else as normal for Wetherspoon outlets I imagine.
