Nice York Brewery house with their array of ales on draught. The bulk of us went for Ghost which was very pleasant.

Easily missed if you are not looking for it, the front window opens to an off-licence/bottle shop with the pub behind. You access via a side door which leads to a corridor with a staircase and stair-lift directly in front of you, the walls are liberally covered with beermats. A corridor serving hatch opens to the bar suggesting that this area becomes an overflow drinking section once the small interior fills up. Inside there is a small bar area with a room beyond and a conservatory drinking area to one side. Boarded floors, regular seating at small tables, beamed ceiling, décor includes old wooden adverts, framed bits and bobs and a Lambs Navy Rum mirror. An exposed brick chimney contained a wood burner. Food served but no menus out at around 4pm, pickled eggs were on sale behind the bar.
The pub is a York Brewery house, Guzzler, Centurion Ghost Ale and Yorkshire Terrier were on, plus guest, West Berkshire Good Old Boy.
A nice pub with a cosy feel, there is also a small upstairs room which I suppose could be used for small functions. Live music advertised on Friday and Saturdays, vaping is permitted inside.

A 2 floor Yorkshire Brewery pub tucked away behind a brewery shop. 5 real ales.
