This one has one of the most hideous exteriors I've seen. It was originally a supermarket so assuming the building is leased I expect there's not much they can do about the garish colours that are above the actual pub.
Inside it's fairly standard consisting of a large square room with the bar at the back. It has the weirdest lamp shades I've ever seen. A bonus point is that the toilets are not up or down flights of stairs. It wasn't overly busy on my early Saturday afternoon visit.
The two sets of five hand pumps had a decent selection with the JDW Trio Of Doom, Jenning's Snecklifter doubled up, Hook Norton Nerdherder IPA, Banks's Alpha 5 IPA, Moorhouse Pendle Witches Brew, Peerless Galaxian and Phoenix West Coast IPA. I went for the Peerless Galaxian (£2.30) which was excellent. Despite the hideous exterior and the weird lamp shades this one is a decent JDW.

The Clairville is a Wetherspoons that is situated on Liscards main shopping street.
The pub looked like an amusement arcade from a distance.
I took a photo of the pub before going in,i crossed the road and was just about to go in when i heard someone say ois you in a strong scous accent,so i went over to him who was well built and taller than me,he also had two other mates with him,he then asked me to delete my photo as it had him on it,i refused so he asked me again,i refused again and went into the pub hoping i would not get a good kicking from him, luckily i did not,but after taking a close look at my photo he was sat inside when i took it,moan over.

Once inside there is a large oblong shaped room with the bar facing, there are raised areas to the front left and right which have comfy bench seating and there are tall tables and chairs in the middle area.
There was a decent choice of real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Tectonic Chestnut Ale which went down well, the other beers noted were Tectonic Gold, one from Elgoods,Marstons One is 90,Shepherd Neame Spitfire,Doom Bar and GK Abbot.
The pub was very busy on my Saturday morning visit.

A generic open plan Wethers. Raised areas to both the left and right. A long bar at the back of the room. As usual a varied array of real ales available. A typically bland kind of Wethers.
