In spite the yoghurt knitter name this is an old fashioned locals pub, the outside carving says it was the Victoria Inn at one time and owned by the brewers of Gartsides Ales. Now in the tender care of Thwaites it has something of the multi room layout left with spaces off a central entrance corridor, the front two rooms just exist, to the right is a former snug with servery access and a couple of almost rooms are there on the left. You will find screens, machines and a dart board. Three T-bars spread on the faces of the L shaped counter with a couple of pulls on one side, the choice was Wainwright or Magic Sponge a pale beer that was very much heading for on the turn but not there yet so just acceptable. The close knit locals were on the keg so cask quality was only to be expected. Pool room at the back.
