The Plough & Windmill is a decent looking pub that has two signs outside saying Cask Ales,well they did'nt have any on the bar when i went in.
Once inside there is a long oblong shaped room which runs the the width of the pub,the bar faces on entry.
The is part carpeted and there is a pool table and TV to the right,the seating is bench type and normal tables and chairs,there is a separate room to the rear which is carpeted and has a darts board to the left.
There were three pumps on the bar all had clips on,but when i asked for a drink of Bristol Plough i was told all cask beers are off,so i had to have a drink of John Smiths Extra Cold Crap,which was cold and really crap,what a let down as this is a decent pub.
There was some decent background music playing.

A timeless old boozer located midway between two other nearby hostelries. As you walk in you’re confronted opposite you with a long dark wood bar counter, with some detailed carving. The pub itself is quite long with a pool table down at the right hand end and a smaller room at the rear. There were a couple of plasmas above the bar, one switched off and the other showing some golf. Most punters were gathered at the bar, presumably watching the action. A jar of pickled eggs behind the bar caught my eye which always signifies a proper pub as far as I’m concerned.
The rear room is quite dated without much atmosphere, although there was a darts board and a small TV set. This leads out to a patio area with some colourful murals on the back wall. It looked as though there may also be a small garden. The pub has a maroon and cream colour scheme throughout and there is also a skittle alley. Barman seemed friendly enough.
The solitary beer on tap was Courage Best, although there were two further pumps that were not in use. Ciders were Blackthorn and Thatcher’s Gold.
