Steve Holland left this review about Stamford Arms
Driving to Mossley yesterday and stopped at this pub for a bite and a drink. They had 4 good cask ales on. of which I tried 2, but the real surprise was the food. On a blackboard menu was about 10-11 Spanish tapas, Also some very tasty sounding pies, but we went with the tapas and tried six different dishes, including chicken croquettes, ham and cheese croquettes, garlic mushrooms and chicken and chorizo, all of these were home made and tasted great. For anyone who has been to La Tasca or Dimitris on Deansgate, these were much better, and for a tenner for 3 dishes, a bargain as well. This was our first visit to the Stamford Arms, the staff were very friendly and welcoming and we will definitely return.
