Steve C left this review about Mariner

Previously known as Trinity, the Mariner was empty on Tuesday evening last week and the manager was quite defensive when I mentioned how quiet it was. The pub is U shaped and a large portion was closed during my visit so I hovered around the long bar. I spied three hand pumps, one of which was off leaving Doom Bar as the ale option alongside Westons Twist Cider. There is also a standard draught selection and a couple of premium lagers in the form of San Miguel and Peroni.

I got the feeling that this is more of a weekend destination pub and I would imagine a late license. There are better pubs in this area to revisit next time I’m passing through.
