Standard TGIF - nothing unusual about the place. No real ale, of course.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Yates's

Large, bustling bar in a prime position at the heart of tourist London. Small counter by the main doors at the Leicester Square end of the building, with a much larger counter nearer the part-time entrance off Charing Cross Road. Various seating areas, supplemented by a patio area out front. Brash lighting until dimmed as the music volume is turned up. Just Greene King IPA (£4.05) available from three hand pumps but a reversed Bombardier clip also noted. Little changed since my previous visit seven years ago, and I suspect it may be as long again before curiosity gets the better of me once more...

Steve C left this review about Yates's

It had been about 6 years since I had been in this Yates's (just after it changed from Capital Café) until I went at the weekend for an afternoon drink.

It hadn't changed at all from what I remember, lots of tourists and a few young kids lining their stomachs with the all day breakfast so that it can be deposited onto the street later that night.

Music channel was too loud for an afternoon and a spritzer consists a quarter of a glass of wine, yet you pay full price – the most expensive soda in the land.

Great if you like the Yates's experience, but I think I'll give it a miss.
