A large generic Flaming Grill place. Open plan and as you would expect popular with foodie families. If you've been in these pubs then you'll know what you're getting. A sterile GK pub. Only 2 dull beers on (I'm sure you'll figure out which).

All these people have no idea what the hell they are talking about!
The pub has had a total revamp and is now an amazing family pub. Big car park with free parking. Nice clean inside. Lots of seats but can get busy on steak night and on sundays. Seating outside for smokers. The staff are really nice. The food isn't always great but really good value for money with them doing some meals on the two for £10 deal. The steaks are really nice. The food is not overcooked and only once has my pasta been luke warm (I told the staff and they where happy to swap it for a steaming hot one, granted it was on a busy night and one of the staff had called in sick) Drinks are not too overpriced too. They welcome families but don't let this put you off if you want a quiet night. I have never been in and found myself swamped by screaming kids. I have taken my daughter in. They have a kids menu and drawing to keep them busy.

Over all it is a brill pub and I go about once a fortnight with my boyfriend.

Please ignore all the other comments. I know the pub used to be rubbish but it has changed a lot since then....

I recently went to the Carousel in Reddish and have actually had a few decent meals there until my last one which means I will never step foot in the pub again. I went with my boyfriend and friend with her three kids on a monday afternoon for lunch. The food came deeply over fried to the point it was inedible yet we were fobbed off being told it was a "charred" effect when in fact is was thoroughly burnt. Much of what we ordered on the menu arrived different for instance we ordered crunchy vegetables for one of the kids which was said to be carrots, cucumber and peppers but it arrived as huge chunks of cucumber and tomato and we were told they could do nothing about it. My boyfriend has a cold burger and they did nothing to replace it and just gave a refund so he had to sit while we ate what we could of our meals while he had nothing.

We asked to speak to a manager who arrived twenty minutes later with a rude attitude. She listened to my boyfriends complaint and offered no apologies or refunds and rudely asked "what d'you want me to do about it?" My boyfriend asked for her to look into why the food was coming out of the kitchen cold and overcooked and to just make it better for the other customers coming in. She remained indenial despite three other customers complaining about cold and burnt food. The only condolence we got was an ice-cream which was brought over by her and she said "if you want it eat it, if you don't then leave it" before leaving us.

We refuse to eat there again after all of us had awful meals which were completely unenjoyable and the manager was rude and unco-operative and didn't seem to care about her customers. The only redeeming value of this pub is quiet polite barstaff.

DO NOT GO THERE
